I'm not happy with the way my photos are turning out recently so until I find my muse, I won't be back.

Besides, there just might be something more exciting in store for you. If I have the time to do it that is.

Every week, a new toy enters my house. It won't be long before i run out of space on my shelf.

My latest baby Ming is a toy of few words (unlike a certain DOLL) so it can be quite hard to figure out what he's saying.



Apparently he's not very happy that Ali has a flower and he doesn't.

I know I missed quite a bit this week but work has really been crazy and I am undertaking a project right now so cut me some slack yea.

Superstar

I'm seriously running out of ideas these days.

I took out my camera during the weekends, but couldn't find my muse. Even Megan, as lovely as she is, couldn't spur any inspirations as she sat sweetly and quietly in a corner, waiting, and waiting. (And for those who really know this fiesty girl, you will know that sweetly and quietly is not really her style, despite her demure appearance.)

"No luck?" she asked as I sighed and packed up and brought her back to her home where she lay, naked and disappointed.

"It's just one of those days," she said encouragingly as I closed her box lid. "Maybe you should go out for a breather and take random shots, without thinking, without pressure."

I did exactly just that.



Not photobook quality but the company was great.

Chapter 4 - Reactions

There was a strange silence.

And bubbles of giggles soon erupted from the strange girl at the corner.




"So YOU're Emma. I have been waiting so long!"

Did this strange girl know Emma's dark secret?

Chapter 3 - The Greeting

It wasn't really her style, but she had made a promise to be 'normal' to avoid getting whisked to another town again.

So Emma took a deep breath, and put on her best expression (the one she picked up during her frequent people-watching escapades), and approached the strange girl behind the laptop.



"Hi, I'm Emma. It's great to meet you!"

Chapter 2 - Not Alone

To blend in quietly was Emma's mission of the day.

Entering into the classroom, just as the morning rays kissed through the glass panes, she'd expected to be alone.



But that was not to be.

Chapter 1 - A New Beginning

The sun's first rays shyly peeped over the horizon, slowly chasing away the chill of the night breeze. But it was still not enough to stop the shivers running through her spine as she walked silently, slowly, into the building.

She had dreaded this day for months, longed for it never to come, but time takes no command from anyone, least of all a girl like her with nothing to her name. Nothing good at least, but that's her secret to keep. A deep dark secret she has to hide or risk moving home yet again.

As memories of the past slowly engulfed her mind, she almost missed the room. The sign 4-1 loomed menacingly above her head and seemed to mock her in the shadows.

This was it. She took a deep breath and opened the sliding door.



Today is Emma's first day of school.

Late Friday - Suicide

Busy busy last week which explains the missing posts.

Someone hasn't been making an appearance lately, and she's not exactly happy about it.

"Are you gonna shoot anytime soon?" she grumbled as I took out my K2 and HK416 guns instead of the D90.

"I don't think so." I apologised. "I'm taking a break for the moment."

"It's hellava long break!" she pouted. "My fans are gonna miss me."

Oh such arrogance.

"Fine. I'll let you say hello then." was the best reply I could give.



Yes, go on fans of Megan. Tell her how much you miss her.

Puppies are a bundle of joy, oozing cuteness from every pore.



Until you have to take a picture of them and realise they can't stay still for nuts.

At least, that's what the owner told me, after she realised I actually took a still shot of her pup and asked if I could send to her.

2) This photoblog is exactly one year old.

Time really flies! With my fleeting interests and constant distractions, I bet many of you (including myself!) never would have thought this photoblog could have lasted this long. The past year has been an interesting journey to say the least, and when I look back at my past photos, I hope I have improved a wee bit.

Even if I did not (which I strongly suspect anyway, lol), I hope that for the past year, this photoblog has provided some form of entertainment and recreation to your life.

Though my entries could be erratic at times, I had a lot of fun maintaining this photoblog. And I hope you had as much fun reading as I did, shooting and writing. I thank my readers for their support. Love you guys!

It's Our Destiny

A talk with friends today brought upon some insightful revelations.

That the people we meet, are not merely coincidental, not a stroke of chance.

The friendships that we forge are intricately weaved into our destiny, the thread of fate so fine that it is almost impossible to connect the dots lest one really sits and looks at the big picture of life.

Today I close my eyes, and reach out for that silky thread of fate. The one that brought me many good friends I am glad to have. And the thread led me to someone I know so well.



It is funny how one thing can lead to another, a falling domino structure so simple yet complicated at the same time

Flight

I'm starting to dread Mondays.

As every ticking hour brings me closer to the grind house, I can't help wishing that we can just take flight and leave everything behind.
