For those who do not know me well, here's a tidbit: I enjoy shooting on 2 levels - one on my DSLR, and another in the virtual FPS world of BlackShot. I have never loved a game more.

So naturally, I was there when there was a tournament held 2 weekends ago, supporting my favourite players and team.



It was my first event photography assignment. I have loads more to learn.

I learnt a new editing technique and was anxious to try it out.

It's called tilt-shifting and it's supposed to make subjects look miniature. Kinda like a toy scene.

While I slowly hone up my lomo editing skills, I decided to try another effect.

The results:-



As much as I tend to oversharpen my photos because I love the effect, I thought this was a pretty nice change. Looking at it made me think of the Garden of Eden, a dreamy paradise yet so quiet now without Adam and Eve to frolick in it, no thanks to a stupid snake and apple.

I tried again using lomo effects on yet another picture.



I love lomo colours. They look beautiful. But alas, I don't seem to have quite achieved it here.

Was too tired to turn on the computer lately, thus the lack of updates.

Nonetheless, I'm back, this time with a slight twist.

No, I don't exactly have new photos to show. Instead, I took old pictures and went tweaking around with Photoshop. It was fun, reading up on various techniques and just randomly exploring the various tools and functions available.

I love the lomo effects but somehow it didn't quite work on this picture. Oh well, what matters most is I've tried. ^^

So anyway, I tried to lure the monkey girl away from too much sweets by tempting her with a proper meal instead.

"No I am NOT eating rice!" she sulked as she eyed the sinful cupcakes I stowed away.

"Close your eyes before you say that, sweetheart," I coaxed her, as I prepared to set the table with healthy food for once.

She obediently shut her eyes tight, no doubt scheming of ways to lay her hands on the cupcakes and what nots.

"Alright darling, you may open your eyes now," I tried to hide a smile as the table was set.



"You bought all these for me?!?!" my baby girl was in complete wonder.

Yes my darling. Because I love you. =)
