It's funny how we often take too long to realise who's the one who is always there for us.

I'm not much of a cat person. Partly because I don't quite understand them.

The Gift Memoir

It was her very first gift received, even before she reached Singapore.

The gift that brought back some memories.

Perhaps she felt the scalding history behind it, because she refused to hold it properly in her arms. I had to carry her, kiss her, coax her, and reassure her that everything is and will be ok, before she finally eased her tantrum to pose with it.



BJD doll owners told me that their dolls do have individual character and attitude. Thinking back at what my chilli padi Megan did, I'm REALLY starting to believe them.

Raven Megan

I can't get enough of her.

Her beauty keeps pulling me to edit her pictures. I just want to stare non stop into her gorgeous eyes, and kiss her pretty face.



Don't be surprised if she dominates the entire week of photos.

Don't say I didn't warn you.

It was an excruciating wait, but holding her little body in my arms, and gazing into her eyes make it all worth it.

The Tribute

Sometimes, it's not how good you are, or how long you dedicate yourself to someone or something.

At the end of the day, it's whether a person choose to see what you have given.

Or whether a person choose to appreciate all that you have done.



Sadly only some will reap the recognition.

The rest will just get the endless shit.

Flock

These days of endless meetings and disastrous gaming have taken a toll on me.

My morale is in the pits and I'm just oh-so-tired.



Thank God for the peace and tranquility that nature and photography brings.

The Living Miracle

They say a dog can change your life.

Many dog owners can vouch for that. But only 3 other people in this world will truly understand how this dog changed mine... and theirs.

Billy Goat's Bluff

While the gentle antelopes and kangaroos won many hearts, this billy goat only won mine.

Determined. Bad tempered. A mind of his own. It was what I saw and loved in him as he relentlessly tried to get our attention with raw, angry head ramming energy.



Character of steel. Many abhor it. I embrace it.

Pure Milk Part 2

I have so many milk related pictures and philosophy these days.

Talk about the milky way. LOL ^^



It's funny, because a couple of days after posting Pure Milk part 1, I happened to re-read Macbeth and realised that Lady Macbeth also mentioned "the milk of human kindness", just about the gist of part 1.

"Do you believe a person can be really as pure as milk?" someone asked me today.

No, I don't. While I believe that human nature is not evil in general, absolute purity is a tad too much to ask for. So my answer to that someone was I believe in the yin yang symbol instead. Within every goodness lies an evil spot. Within every darkness shines a small light of purity.

Which got me thinking even further. When Lady Macbeth cried out "out damn spot!" in her soliloquy, it brought to mind the yin yang symbol. She could very well be banishing that light of purity from the darkness of her soul to ease her agony a little after killing the King.

I wonder what would be the examiner's reaction if I had written this argument in my examination instead. ^^

Pure Milk

Milk.

So strong, that some are intolerant of it. Yet gentle enough for babies to depend on it.

Is it possible that a person can be just as pure and wholesome? A white sheep amongst the grey wolves roaming the lands of Earth.



She was the most innocent. I hope she stays that way.

There aren't many white sheeps left on Earth.

Life's A Beach

I have been busy with a different kind of shooting lately (ahem) so photo editing is rather minimal these days.

Nonetheless hope you like what i have to offer today.



Australia. A beautiful country yet an ugly place spent with happy times and sad memories.

Best Friends

The dog has been man's best friend since the early days.

Why so? Because of loyalty? Trustworthiness? Honesty? Unconditional love?



Or do dogs give all these in exchange for basic needs like food and shelter? Through the evolution of time, perhaps they have learnt that in order to survive and not starve, all they need to do is to fulfill the emotional needs of humans. Easy peasy.

If that's the case, won't that make them the most manipulative creatures of all, considering how we invite them on our beds and into our hearts?

Dogs - best friends, or our worst enemies?

Warning

Life should have a warning sign too.



Oh, and so should love and the people we meet.

My warning sign should probably go like "Warning. Mean Tongue."

The Lost Innocence

Things just seem must simpler when we were younger.



When we look back, will we ever recover that innocence long gone?

When all's gloom and doom, know that there is a rainbow nearby to light up your life. My friends have been that rainbow these weeks. A big thanks to all of you for standing by me. This post is a tribute to you.

The Haunting

Alone. Lonesome. Waiting. Nothing.

It was these feelings this picture gave me when I snapped it. A very uneasy feeling really, and that was even before I found out the place was believed to be haunted.



I for one, believe it's true. My sixth sense picked up a presence in a particular room. And it wasn't exactly friendly.
